This one was a lot more work than I expected... O . O
It gave me massive issues while baking and the frosting was almost too thick.
This cake is very similar to my Ann Marie cake in terms of flavour. It is a chocolate cake with a chocolate mousse filling, fudge frosting, and simple buttercream for the decorations. Oh and red decorating gel for part of the Batman Flashpoint emblem.
I was going to fill the red section of the emblem with red icing but as you can see...the "red" food colour did not do it's job
right on the now pink icing! > . <
It's still manly though...I think...and at least the black icing actually came out right.
On another note...my writing does look terrible but that's because my writing icing tip went missing and I had to use a smaller one. Also I very little room to write...
It actually says: "Happy Batday Ian"
I hope he enjoys it. ^ - ^

Most impressive! Really, you had no reason to feel bad about the icing being pink. Who cares if it's "manly" or not? It's such a silly taboo with pink for men, it shouldn't have to be that way. Hell, pink was once the color of manlyness, over a hundred years ago. But it's irrelevant. You don't get upset about getting blue on a "feminine" cake.
Bottomline, pink is a nice color, and this cake is awesome.
